About Lily – My Journey to Simple, Stress-Free Cooking

Hi, I’m Lily!
I wasn’t born with a whisk in my hand—and I definitely didn’t grow up cooking gourmet meals. But I’ve come a long way, and Easy Recipe To Go is my way of sharing everything I’ve learned (and everything I wish I had when I was starting out).

Where It All Began

I grew up in a small town where cooking meant convenience—frozen dinners, takeout, and whatever was fastest. I didn’t have a grandmother passing down recipes or a family cookbook filled with traditions. Honestly, I didn’t think much about food until I moved out on my own.

Learning the Hard Way

When I became a mom, everything changed. Suddenly, I wanted to feed my family better—but I had no idea how. I tried following recipes online, but they were too complicated, too expensive, or just assumed I already knew how to cook. (Spoiler: I didn’t.)

So I did what most beginners do—I messed up a lot.
Burnt toast, undercooked rice, you name it. But every small win gave me confidence, and over time, I found a rhythm. I discovered that cooking didn’t have to be perfect—it just had to work.

From Chaos to Comfort

I started creating my own recipes, focusing on simple steps, familiar ingredients, and meals that actually made sense for real life. No hard-to-find spices, no 15-step directions—just clear, doable food that tasted great.

And the more I shared with friends, the more I heard:
“I wish someone would just make this easier.”
So I did.

Why I Created Easy Recipe To Go

I built this blog for busy parents, beginners, and anyone who’s ever felt like cooking just isn’t their thing.
Here, you’ll find:

  • Quick, no-fuss meals with step-by-step help
  • Creative but simple ideas that actually fit your schedule
  • Encouragement, not pressure. Real food, not perfection.

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed in the kitchen, I get it. I’ve been there.
But I’m here to tell you—you can cook. You just need the right kind of help.

And that’s what I’m here for.
